The RT-701 is a new, comprehensive regulator tester that has been developed for testing the Bosch EP type hybrid regulators. It will test the four operating phases of the EP regulators as well as testing the complete range of Bosch regulators, both 12V and 24V. Robert Bosch (Australia) Pty Ltd worked very closely with DURST on this project and were keen to reproduce the factory test results in the field. During the validation of the tester, the staff at Bosch threw everything at this unit, looking for any weakness. Regulators with every nasty fault known to man were tested and the RT-701 found them all.” The RT-701 can test 2 to 6 wire regulators both battery and machine sensed version. These include: Bosch, Denso, Hitachi, Lucas, Delco, Autolite, CAV, Electrodyne, Leece Neville, Motorola, Niehoff, Marelli, Prestolite, Ducellier, Pal, Mitsubishi etc.

240 volt mains power. 110V and 40V AC continuity test indicator lights. Tests automotive alternator and starter components for shorts to frame and circuit continuity. When used with the armature growler, the in-built AC ammeter allows coil current readings to be made when testing armatures and alternator stators. Model AG-238-1 is an optional extra when used with AG-237L, AG-237 or AG-236.
Universal tester for small engines features an adjustable spark gap (0-12mm) to simulate engine load and adverse conditions. Two peak voltage scales allow you to monitor the working voltages on all types of ignition systems. Additional functions are aimed at trouble shooting the classic breaker point system: coil test, points test, condenser test, module test and resistance measurements (3scales).
