BOSCH Endorsement

Here is the text of a letter we received regarding our RT701 Universal Regulator Tester and DT660-1 Zener Diode Tester from the National Service Dept of BOSCH Australia.

Dear Sir,
We thank you for the opportunity of working directly with you on the RT701 regulator tester project. We believe that therefore the Durst RT701 can effectively test not only the Bosch range of regulators but also those of other manufacturers. It gives us for the first time a tester that will test our "EP" regulator out of the alternator.

Our testing has shown that the Durst RT701 is able to test all operating phases of our "EP" regulator, this has not been possible previously. We believe that the Auto electrical industry can have confidence in the Durst RT701 and regulators tested on it. It will reduce the alternator repair cost in that a good regulator can be refitted and not be replaced as a precaution.

During our testing of the unit we found the prototype a bit complicated to use and made a number of suggestions for improvements. We are pleased that you have responded to our suggestions and implemented them into the current design. The latest version and the manual are easy to operate and read. We eagerly await the release of this excellent tester and wish you every success.

We are pleased with the Durst Zener Diode Tester DT660-1 with the revised test current setting of 5Ma and reversing switch. We are currently promoting this unit in our training courses, and have included this item as an essential piece of test equipment in an approved Bosch workshop.
